Much of the detailed work has been developed for you. Your only job is to make sales, for which you earn a certain percentage. The percentage differs from program to program. Some products might earn you a 50 percent while others only 8 percent per sale (these are hypothetical examples not actual figures,) so research around.
There are a lot of successful affiliate networks with a lot of products selection and programs you can decide to promote. One instance is Clickbank, which provides digital information products and software. There are some Clickbank affiliates that are receiving a very excellent living promoting their selected products because they grasp how to best promote them. You will discover Clickbank to have a great many categories and particular products to choose from.

You may want to consider using Commission Junction, who is another top affiliate company. They also have a big selection of big name advertisers as well as those that are not as popular. Although this network is very attractive they do deactivate publishers who do not earn sufficient commission within a certain duration of time. Also certain of their programs need special approval from the program owner.
